But it does not work long term, acai doesn't have any genuine health benefits, and it is marketed by scammers as a miracle cure. The only thing amazing about it is the profit that they make from desperate people. Please stay away.
The only thing that works is diet and exercise. And by diet, I don't mean a program, like "THE SUCH AND DIET" or the "I only eat fruit diet."
Diet means what you do on a regular basis, and what you need to do is to control calories. It will seem difficult at first, but when you realize how many empty calories you take in, and how much control you have over it, it becomes relatively easy to manage.
However, it will always seem impossible, and it will always leave you in search of miracles until that reality clicks for you.
I've lost 15 lbs in the past two weeks by making sure that I don't eat more than 1500 calories a day, and by spending 30 minutes on an elliptical machine. The younger you are, though, the more calories you'll need.
(As we age our need to create new cells decreases, and our calorie needs diminish. Most people continue to eat at the same high levels, beyond what their bodies need, and so gain weight as they age.)
It doesn't matter much where those calories come from, but you'll want to make sure that you get all of the vitamins and minerals you need, so it should come from real food like vegetables and meat, rather than bread and soft drinks. The website linked below will help you to monitor what you're eating.
The only proven way to lose or to maintain one's weight is through controlling calories. They enter your body in the form of food and drinks, and they leave through physical exertion.
Your body is a kind of machine, and calories are the fuel. But if you flood the engine, you get poor performance or you just plain stall."
Kal-El replied: "If you have been eating right and working out for 6 months with NO results, then;
A) your trainer sucks
B) your diet sucks
..My guess, since diet is 80-85% of the fight, its your diet. You do NOT need acai berry to lose weight. Humans are ment to be healthy. You NEED to change your diet and, possibly your trainer. If you have not lost any weight in 6 months then that tells us that you are burning the same amount of calories that you are taking in, ergo you are not losing weight.
You should be eating 5-6 meals a day to speed up you matabalism and your diet should be high in protien. No results in 6 months calls fora drastic change in your diet.
Zalamel, you are wrong. I could workout for 5 hours a day and burn 5000 calories, but if I go to McDonalds and eat 5000 calories (which is easy to do at McDonalds) all my workout goes down the drain.
On the other hand, I can not workout one minute and burn 2000 calories from just my daily activites (walking, laughing, and yes even breathing). And if I only eat/consume 1500 calories, well, I just burned 500 calories from fat (and possible muscle if I am not taking a good multi-vitamin).
I am not saying do not workout, I am saying you NEED a good diet to lose weight, the workout is only 15-20% of the weight loss fight. DIET IS CRITICAL!"
Lisa replied: "I have been through it all and know what's it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can't be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I've worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.
Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.
First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can't eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising...
This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it's good for the heart.
However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It's so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I've found a great addition to help any one out, it's a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don't get all crazy on me and say diet pills don't work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn't meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It's an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace.com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it's the best pill I've tried and I've tried cupboards full. Now this doesn't mean you have to follow my foot steps but I've successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.
Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate."
Has anybody actually tried the Acai Berry Diet? I was watching Oprah the other day, and the entire show was about this little acai berry. I've been doing some research online, and it's hard to tell what's fact and what's fiction. Has anybody actually had RESULTS using acai berry products? Or is it another "Green Tea" fad...
Thanks!
Albert B replied: "Hi,
I understand your question and concern about the acai berry especially since this fruit is gaining such popularity due to being featured on such TV’s shows as The Today Show, Rachael Ray and Oprah. But let me share with you my experience.
I've been using acai berry products for a couple of months now and I've noticed that yes they do work. I used them when I wanted to trim off about 15lbs.
I knew that diet and exercise alone would help achieve that goal alone but I needed something to help me with my mid afternoon snacking urges. This is where I found the acai berry really helped me.
It helped to curb those mid afternoon urges which meant when I went out jogging later that night I wasn't just jogging to work off that bag of Doritios I snacked on around 3pm instead I was actually working off the weight I wanted..
After a couple months I now no longer needed the supplements and can manage my weight more easily, so I found that yes they really did help speed up my weight loss goals when I used them along with a diet and exercise program, as the berries gave me more energy and helped to curb my appetite

The Acai (ah-sigh) berry is a purple colored berry that grows in regions of South American on certain palm trees. Natives of the regions where Acai berry fruit grows have long since known of the valuable health properties of the Acai berry and are now enjoying the notoriety of the Acai berry and the financial benefits its production and harvesting is bringing their region.
The USDA recognizes some of the value of the Acai berry and has conducted some studies to determine whether or not the claims of the health benefits of consuming Acai berries are true. To date, some of these studies have supported the idea that the Acai berry can create healthier conditions in the body that work to slow down aging and promote more healthier conditions through the body.
Similar to some other vitamins but considered to be one of the superfoods of the world as well, the Acai berry cannot be considered like any other vitamin or even superfood that is known to man. From its humble origins and start on the palm trees, the Acai berry is said to support the body in a host of ways that challenge medical science in terms of their continue use of prescription drugs which are often unnatural chemical introduced to the body.
If you are interested in exploring an Acai berry product, be sure to check with your local health food store or even conduct an online search and you may be surprised to find that there are a great deal of manufacturers, supporters, independent agents and the like who not only offer free samples but who are regular purchasers and users of Acai berry themselves."
Joe K replied: "Green Tea actually is not a fad it does help your body burn more calories. Combined with the Acai it's a pretty decent weightloss fat burner. My gf is taking both and has lost almost 10lbs in a week. she got hers from"
The Acai Berry Diet Pill? I was wondering if it really works. I've seen advertisements while surfing on the internet, but sometimes there are fake advertisements about losing weight and so on. But I came across Acai Berry diet pill and I did some research on it, turns out it was on the Oprah and Rachael Ray show. So I was wondering if anyone's tried it and if it really works.
So now I really wanna try the Acai Berry diet pill, along with exercising. So I was wondering if anyone know if it really works and which one to buy. There are so many different bottles that I'm not even sure which one is the right one and not a wanna be weight lose Acai Berry diet.
Childsmum replied: "I have seen this product advertised as well but i am always sceptical about magic pills for swift weight loss but it would be interesting to hear what other people say. The best philosophy for loosing weight is to move more and eat less."
Morgan R replied: "If it is a good quality acai berry product, then yes, it is worth it. Acai is the best known antioxidant fruit that is known on the planet. The antioxidants in acai help to cleanse your body. The natural lipids in acai help to give you more energy and stamina. The fiber in acai helps digestion and fat loss.

worthyworld1 replied: "I will tell you a little bit about acai berry and how it actually worked for me.
The acai berry is the fruit of the acai palm tree, which grow in central and South American rainforests from Belize to Brazil.
The fruit is a small round purple berry similar in size to a grape. The acai berry is a superfood which simply means that it is so naturally packed with goodness that it may help to boost levels of health and vitality naturally. Up to now, one of the most commonly known superfoods is the blueberry. Known for it's abundance of natural antioxidants, many blueberry based health products are available and enjoyed regularly. Other superfoods include garlic, onions, and leeks to name a few. This group of vegetables contain flavonoids that stimulate the production of antioxidants in the liver. This aids the elimination of toxins and carcinogens. The list also includes barley beans and lentils, green foods, hot peppers, nuts and seeds, sprouts, yogurts.
Without going into too much technical stuff the acai berry contains high levels of antioxidants, omega fats, high fibre, amino acids and plant sterols and also loads of vitamins and minerals
The important thing to note, is that it is a balanced diet containing all of these food groups that offers you the chances of best health. A healthy diet, combined with gentle exercise, meditation, yoga etc and you are more likely to enjoy the benefits of a healthier long life at a weight you are comfortable with.
So there you go this little berry is one powerful superfood.
But where do you get your hands on the acai? It only grows in the Amazonian forests of Brazil, so it is impossible to enjoy 'fresh'. (unless you happen to live there.
Well the one I have tried and which worked for me is the one which you will find in the link below in the source box. This product also contains green tea which is also well known to aid weight loss and promote good health. I paid upfront and got 6 bottles for the price of 4. Beware the free trials which ask for your credit card and then you can't cancel because they don't answer the phone or you forget.
I lost around 14 pounds in 6 weeks – of course you have to eat a sensible diet and exercise as much as possible but this little berry capsule really worked for me. You take one 20 minutes before breakfast and one 20 minutes before lunch.
With this offer you also get some cool free products – you can go online and join the weight management club which gives you loads of tips and you feel part of a group which helps motivate you to carry on with your programme. You also get a free ebook giving really good weight loss tips and a visualization audio cd, which kind of plays soothing music and gives suggestions a bit like hypnotherapy - but you know I found it really really helpful.
The link is below and all I can say is it worked for me!
Last but not least Oprah has endorsed the product and we all know the weight problems she has had. Brad Pitt has also used acai to help lose weight for a film. So there you have it Oprah Brad Pitt and me!
Try it and see."
